Some stories are short and sweet and don’t require any big climax to be great. This heartwarming story was shared to our Storyblend Facebook Group and it left many of us feeling good, too good not to share with all of you!
“I have always said I love you to my son. When he was in high school I dropped him off where a few of his friends were waiting.
He leaned in and said, “I love you, Mom!”
He told me later that his friends started to razz him and he said to them, “what’s wrong with you?? Don’t you love your mom? I love my mom.”
And they said well yeah and never said another word.
He’s 34 now. He ends every phone call and visit with us by saying I love you. If we are visiting he kisses me on top of my head. His 2 year old daughter says, “I love you Mom-mom!” Makes my heart melt.”
I think it’s safe to say all our hearts are melting. Expression of love is truly the best, especially coming from our children. No matter how old they get, they will still be our little babies.
